Direct Dimensions to Host Hands-On 3D Scanning Demo Day in New York City

Direct Dimensions, Inc. will host a free, hands-on 3D Scanning Demo Day on Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at LOFT39 in Midtown Manhattan. The event is organized in collaboration with Artec 3D and Geomagic and is designed for engineers, manufacturers, product designers, researchers, and other professionals interested in adopting or upgrading 3D scanning technology. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore and test seven different Artec 3D scanners, including the Artec Ray II, Artec Micro II, Artec Leo, Artec Spider II, Artec Point, Artec Jet, and Artec Neo. The event will feature live demonstrations, and guests are encouraged to bring their own parts, products, or objects to see how the scanners capture real-world geometry and transform physical objects into digital 3D data. Direct Dimensions' technical team will provide personalized guidance to help attendees evaluate which scanning solutions best fit their needs. The event will also include information on the software side of 3D scanning workflows, with a focus on applications such as reverse engineering, inspection, product development, and digital modeling, in collaboration with Geomagic. Michael Raphael, Founder and CEO of Direct Dimensions, stated that the goal is to make it easier for professionals to experience these technologies firsthand and make more informed decisions about investing in 3D scanning. Direct Dimensions is headquartered in Owings Mills, Maryland, and has more than 30 years of experience applying 3D scanning and digital measurement technology across industries such as aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, architecture, healthcare, art, and entertainment.
