Maverick Gold and Silver Receives Confirmation of New Claims - Increasing the Size of the Silver Vista Property, British Columbia

Share𝕏inf

Maverick expands Silver Vista by 42% with five new mineral claims in British Columbia.

Risk flags

  • Operational risk is elevated due to the early-stage nature of the project; no resource estimates or economic studies have been disclosed, so the actual mineral potential and viability remain unproven.
  • Disclosure risk is present, as the announcement omits all financial data, including cash position, burn rate, and funding sources, making it impossible to assess the company’s ability to sustain exploration or advance to the next stage.
  • Exploration risk is high; while the new claims are described as geologically similar to a previously drilled area, no assay results or discovery data are provided, so the claims of prospectivity are unsubstantiated by quantitative evidence.

Bottom line

This announcement signals a meaningful expansion of Maverick’s Silver Vista property, but the investment case remains unproven without resource estimates, assay results, or financial disclosures. The company’s narrative is credible as far as land tenure and planned drilling, but the absence of economic data or exploration results means investors cannot gauge value creation or risk-adjusted upside. The technical review by a Qualified Person adds procedural legitimacy but does not substitute for hard data. For this to become actionable, Maverick would need to disclose drill results, resource estimates, and financial metrics. The most important takeaway is that this is a property expansion, not a value realisation event.

Announcement summary

(CSE: MAV) Maverick Gold and Silver Corp. announces that it has received formal confirmation from the British Columbia Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals, Mines Competitiveness and Authorizations Division, that an additional five (5) mineral claims, which were applied for in January, adjoining the Silver Vista Property have been granted. The newly approved claims add 1,901 hectares (4,698 acres) to the property, increasing the size by 42%. The Silver Vista property, located approximately 55 km from Smithers, B.C., is now comprised of 17 mineral claims and covers 6,444.5 hectares (15,925 acres), or 64.44 square kilometres (24.88 square miles). The new claims are prospective for copper and silver as the geological environment there is similar to that surrounding the MR Showing, which has been tested with 4,034 metres (13,235 feet) of drilling and will have follow-up drilling by the Company. Preparations continue for the Company's fully funded drill program at Silver Vista, which is anticipated to start prior to the end of September. The hyperspectral survey of the 2019 and 2021 drill core continues, and the Company had made progress on its new three-dimensional model, which includes all drill data collected to date.
